Wire Flying Men, these fun smaller sculptures were exhibited in the beautiful borders of Picton Garden near Malvern Worcestershire. Wire Artist Victoria Westaway wanted to add some movement and extra height to the scheme. These wire figurative sculptures are created on a steel spike giving the illusion of flying amongst the blooms.
Seated Willow female figure. This restful sculpture was commissioned by The Gribble Inn, West Sussex. Victoria created a copper Rose for the sculpture to hold to make a link back to the past as the female figure represents Rose Gribble the owner of the property before it was renovated into an Inn and Brewery.

This was the first piece created in the Athelfled series, Victoria wanted to show the two locations of both Athelfled's homes using these very different materials.The formal planting in this part of the Garden worked beautifully with the woven texture of the willow.
