Group of child figurative sculptures. This group of figures are shown in the beautiful grounds of Hillersdon House, Devon.Two of the sculptures are created in steel wire which has been powder coated in a bronze two tone colour. The Willow Handstand Boy, built on a steel frame this willow sculpture depicts a young boy displaying his handstand skills. This life size willow sculpture now resides in Herefordshire under a giant willow tree.
Wire Sculpture of child reading a copper book. This seated reading sculpture is created with Wire, Victoria weaves the steel wire onto a steel frame she creates in her Devonshire workshop. Once the figure is complete she powder coats it at a local firm. The powder coating shown here is a two tone bronze effect. This coating gives the sculpture a weatherproof seal. Victoria creates the book with copper which she gives an aged patina. The overall nostalgic effect harks back to simpler times.
Seated child wire sculpture. This sculpture is created from steel wire on a steel rod amature, Sculptor Victoria Westaway weaves the wire to form a depiction of a child. In this instance the contrast comes from the use of copper for the bird the child holds in their hands. These wire artworks sit beautifully on exhisting walls or garden seating.
