Following on from last years successful RHS Willow Goose Sculpture Workshop Vik was again invited back to run an Owl Sculpture Workshop during March 2018. Just as last year the willow sculpture course proved so popular that Pershore College arranged to run two RHS courses on consecutive days. Each of the two courses were made up of 10 participants who practiced the basic skills and techniques of willow weaving. Vik demonstrated her free style scribble weave technique to create the body around a steel armature mounted on a wooden base. Once the main bodies were formed Vik encouraged the participants to get creative using techniques to add beaks, eyes and ears giving each owl a unique personality.
Pershore College is a national centre for horticulture situated on a 60-hectare site near Evesham and offers the very best in land-based learning.
