Showborough House (near Tewkesbury, Gloustershire) opens its garden every spring to host the Affordable Garden Art Competition and Exhibition. This year Vik Westaway is working on a new theme of exhibits especially for the Affordable Art Show. A wide variety of good but affordable sculpture, mostly by local sculptors, can be seen in the natural setting of the one and a half acre garden, which has been renovated over the last ten years.
There are works in different sizes, styles and media, including wood, metal, stone, glass, ceramic and resin by both local and emerging artists.
Charingworth Court combines NGS open garden with an annual Sculpture Exhibition now in its eighth year. The owners Susan & Richard Wakeford have invited Devon artist Vik Westaway to exhibit several of her woven garden sculptures during this years show that coincides with the Winchcombe Festival of Music and Arts.
Vik will be showing two Giant Black Pear contemporary sculptures at the FRESH AIR biennial sculpture exhibition that is an amazing celebration of contemporary 3D sculptural and visual art.
Vik is working on an exciting new art theme for the now regular Autumn Sculpture Exhibition at the Plant Heritage National Collection of Autumn Flowering Asters in Colwall, Herefordshire. The Sculptures are on display from August until mid October including many days for the National Gardens Scheme. Please check with Picton Garden or the NGS Yellow Book opening dates and times.
Helen and Gilbert Crawford have invited Vik Westaway to join them in this years hArt during Herefordshire Arts Week. The result will bring an exciting exhibition of interesting and affordable art and craft work in both the house and garden.
Vik is at the early stages of planning her sculpture exhibits ready for the Avebury National Trust Sculpture Exhibition in the Manor Gardens running from September - October 2019. Avebury Manor gardens are arranged as a series of 'rooms', each with a different character, including Kitchen Garden, Topiary Garden, Lions Walk, Church Garden, East Garden, Half Moon Garden, Orchard, Monks Garden and South Lawn.
